When the case is serious, the lawyer matters.
Cory Lapin is a Miami personal injury lawyer who represents injured clients and families throughout Florida in catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death, negligent security, car accident, truck accident, and serious crash cases.
Cory has litigated many of the country’s most significant injury cases, including cases resulting in nearly $2 billion recovered for injured clients and families. His experience includes numerous eight-figure recoveries, multiple verdicts exceeding $40 million, a settlement exceeding $100 million, and service on the litigation team in a case that resolved for $1.5 billion.
Cory’s career gives his clients a rare advantage. Before entering practice, he clerked for a Broward judge, giving him early insight into how judges evaluate arguments, evidence, and credibility. He then began his legal career representing injured plaintiffs, later represented insurance companies, corporations, and defendants in serious injury cases, and ultimately returned to representing injured people and families. That experience lets him see every case from all sides. He understands how plaintiffs win, how defendants fight, how insurance companies evaluate claims, and what persuades judges when the stakes are high.
Cory is not just a trial lawyer. He is also a skilled appellate advocate and legal writer. He has successfully handled appeals and understands how to frame legal issues, preserve arguments, and write with the clarity and force needed to persuade courts. That level of writing and appellate experience gives his clients an advantage at every stage of litigation, from motion practice through trial and appeal.
Today, Cory uses that experience to build powerful cases for people whose lives have been changed by negligence. He is relentless when it comes to uncovering the truth, exposing unsafe behavior, and obtaining maximum value for his clients. He knows the tactics defendants use to delay, deny, and minimize responsibility. He knows how insurance companies try to undervalue serious injuries. And he knows how to expose those tactics through evidence, strategy, persuasive writing, and trial preparation.
Cory does not prepare cases just to settle. He prepares every case as if it will go to trial. That approach creates pressure, exposes weakness in the defense, and gives his clients the best opportunity to recover maximum value. Whether the case involves a car accident, truck accident, medical malpractice, defective product, negligent security, preventable shooting, catastrophic injury, or wrongful death, Cory’s approach is the same: uncover the truth, prove the harm, expose unsafe behavior, and fight for the full value of the case.
Cory has written extensively on medical malpractice, product liability, and complex civil litigation. His legal articles have been published by Law360 and Defense Litigation Insider.
Cory graduated fourth in his class from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. He made the Dean’s List every semester, received the Einstein Scholarship and Law Center Merit Scholarship, earned numerous highest-grade awards, and served as a junior associate for the Nova Law Review and the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Florida.
If you or someone you love is looking for a Miami personal injury attorney after a serious accident, medical malpractice, defective product, shooting, negligent security incident, or wrongful death, do not trust your case to a lawyer who is learning as they go. Hire a lawyer with the experience, insight, skill, strategy, relentlessness, and results needed to fight back.
